By accessing or using PainlessPDF, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service immediately.

If you are using PainlessPDF on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

PainlessPDF provides browser-based PDF tools for editing, merging, and document operations. We reserve the right to update, improve, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the service.

The service is not designed or certified for use in regulated industries requiring specific compliance standards such as HIPAA. You are responsible for verifying fitness for any specialized use.

You may create an account using email and password or social sign in. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must not share your account or allow others to access it on your behalf.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep your account details up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

Paid plans are billed through a third-party payment processor. Pricing and billing cycles are shown at checkout and may change with prior notice. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will retain access until then.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Upload or process content that infringes intellectual property rights, contains malware, or is otherwise harmful or illegal
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service, its infrastructure, or other users' accounts
• Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access or extract data from the service without written permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service or its underlying systems
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without prior written authorization

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions.

The product, branding, platform technology, software, and all associated intellectual property belong to PainlessPDF or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these terms.

You retain full ownership of the files you upload and the content you process. We do not claim any rights to your documents. You grant us only the limited rights necessary to provide the service to you.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the service is at your sole risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PainlessPDF and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the service. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or USD $100.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PainlessPDF and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to binding arbitration or the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction, as determined by PainlessPDF.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. The following sections will survive termination: intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and indemnification.

We may update these terms periodically. When we make material changes, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the service.
